Blowing since 2017, Little Lizard is the only brass and bass Funk Punk ensemble in the Upper Midwest. Formed in Minneapolis, MN by multi-instrumentalists Lizz D and Shea Drenkow, the duo is proof that it doesn't all have to make sense. Who thought trombone could be cool anyway? Uncompromising in their vision and focused on instrumentals Little Lizard pushes the limits of what two people can do over a drum machine beat. Give them just 2 minutes and 30 seconds and you'll be getting down to their cold-blooded groove.
Laying out their musical blueprint on their first two EPs Break a Tooth (2017) and My City is Cherry Flavored (2017), Little Lizard has gone on to release three full length albums Premium Vanilla (2019), Earthlings (2020), and Big Lizard (2023). Diversifying their sound with new instrumentation on each successive release the duo has also sprinkled in a handful of singles to fill the gaps. A central tenet of Little Lizard is to tour. Starting with weekend runs and working up to multi-week tours Lizz and Shea have shared their music with new audiences from coast to coast and down to the Gulf of Mexico. Refusing to slow down Little Lizard is currently releasing new singles and working on their next full-length album while they plan their Funk Punk world domination.
